Houston Heights

Northwest of Downtown sits a section of seven historic districts, known as the Heights. It’s home to diverse Houstonians that are drawn to its rich architecture. Despite the rise of sophisticated new establishments in the area, the Heights retains its vintage vibe with midcentury buildings on 19th street, quirky businesses mom and pop shops and rows of Queen Anne and Craftsman-style homes. It serves as hub for culture, delicious eateries, bars and hipsters galore. Also, known for its boutiques, antique shops and thrift stores. You can spend hours in this walkable section of shops, browsing everything from old records, to unique children’s toys. If you’re looking for live entertainment in the Heights, White Oak’s five-acre indoor/outdoor venue features three stages. The “First Saturday Arts Market” is on the first Saturday of each month for live music, crafts, plants and artwork. Homes in the area are now among the most sought out in Houston; as this district has it all.
